ISO 9001:2008 specifies the standards of quality management system than a firm:
1) requires to conform with in order to provide goods that matches with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and customer needs.
2) It also aims to gain complete customer satisfaction and includes continual quality enhancement.
CPRI labs are authorized or licensed with National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per the ISO/IEC 17025 standards. It has also received full membership status in Europe’s group of Short Circuit Testing Liaison (STL).
Besides this, it has a long term collaboration with internationally recognized laboratories such as EDF of France, CESI of Italy and EPRI of USA. Many research & sponsored projects are also covered under ISO 9001:2008 certifications.
DVVNL or Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. distributes power and electricity almost 21 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which covers an area of 31,34.95 Sq. Kms with around 4,38,42,782 number of people. The area it covers include Aligarh, Mathura, Mainpuri, Lalitpur, Kannauj, Firozabad, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kanpur City, Kanpur rural, Jhansi, Auraiya, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Kanshiram Nagar etc.
Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department is commonly known from its abbreviation UPPWD, which works for the favour of its public. The contractor from this department provides test certificates, whose quality control testing is done by the field officers. To execute the testing process laboratories are provided to them that are authorized by the related government bodies. The expenses during this testing process are paid by the contractors.
Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. came into existence under the Companies Act, 1956. It is based in 4-A, Gokhle Marg, Lucknow, from where supply and distribution of electricity within the area is done. The supply areas will include various districts of Uttar Pradesh such as Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Balrampur, Gonda, Shrawasti, Barabanki, Faizabad, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Ambedkarnagar etc.
National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories know as NABL adheres with the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) MR001 and ISO/IEC 17011:2004 guidelines. NABL has also been been granted signatory member position by APLAC and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) under their Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs).
The reports issued by NABL under the MRA’s are equivalent to reports issued by other 76 international accredited bodies from 64 economies. In July 2008, NABL underwent re-evaluation by APLAC evaluation team of four members. As per new international standard ISO 15189:2007 it provides authorized recognition for Medical Testing laboratory
Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam limited is subsidiary company of UPPCL and was founded in July, 2003. It’s responsibility is to distribute power in western part of Uttar Pradesh. And, the various areas that are covered under its jurisdiction are the districts of Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Baghpat, Gutambudh Nagar, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Rampur, Moradabad and many other. The Discomp has three distribution zone located in Saharanpur, Meerut and Moradabad, which are headed by Chief Engineer Officer. The total count of divisions and distribution circles in various zones are 65 and 21 respectively, which work under Discom’s control. Discom consists of more than thirty five lacs of consumers, whose an average annual demand is of Rs. 9300 Crores. Moreover, PVVNL has 564 secondary sub-stations with a capacity of 6569 MVA. There are almost 135202 distribution channels with 760 MVA capacity.

Rajsthan Public Works Department also works for the development of its people. It’s central laboratory is situated in Jaipur, where the quality assurance testing of goods/ material is done. The lab is headed by a testing officer, who is further assisted by Assistant Testing Officer Scientist.
